Dr. Scott Hastings Biography

I grew up in Kamloops, BC and moved to the lower mainland to attend UBC. I graduated in 1989 with a BSc in Microbiology. After working in a lab for a couple of years, I realized that I missed meeting and interacting with people so I returned to UBC and completed my dental degree in 1996. Realizing the art of Dentistry is a lifelong learning process, I began honing my skills as an associate at a number of dental practices in Richmond and Downtown Vancouver before purchasing Burnaby Kingsway Dental in 2000. In 2005, I moved the dental practice from Kingsway to our present location in the BCAA building on Canada Way. Since dental treatments, techniques and materials are constantly evolving, I continue to seek out continuing education programs that let me provide leading edge care to all my patients. Outside of dentistry, I enjoy living in Burnaby with my wife and two children. I also enjoy gardening, golfing & skiing. I am active in the community through coaching both my kids in soccer and baseball.
