Implants
We are pleased to offer surgical placement and restoration of dental implants in our office. Dental implants are the treatment of choice for most individuals who have lost a tooth. Whether you are missing a single tooth or a number of teeth, talk to us about the many benefits dental implants can offer. Dental implants have helped hundreds of thousands of individuals regain the function, comfort and confidence they previously enjoyed for both eating and smiling.

What is an implant?
Implants are replacement tooth roots made of titanium that are placed into the jawbone. They serve as an anchor for a replacement tooth or teeth.
Will it hurt much?
Typically the implant is placed with just local anesthesia. The process of receiving dental implants is generally comfortable and the implants become attached to the jawbone with a great deal of retention. Patients say that it is similar to having a tooth removed.
How long will it take?
For some cases, the implant can be placed and loaded with a temporary replacement on the same day. In other cases, the implant requires 4-6 months of healing before it may be restored. This allows the implant to become completely secure within the bone.
Are they hard to look after?
Implants require the same regular maintenance as the other teeth in your mouth with daily brushing and flossing. Because the structure is as close to your natural tooth as possible, they are maintained in the same way.
Why do you recommend an implant over a bridge?
Unlike a bridge, implants do not require adjacent health teeth to be crowned. They are the only method of tooth replacement that preserves bone levels. Implants are easier to maintain and keep clean thereby reducing the risk of decay on adjacent teeth.
